The non-promotion of Numancia this season after the match in Yecla continues to have institutional repercussions for the rojillo team.

Eduardo Rubio Steps Down from Club Management

In the wake of a disappointing season and a period of reflection, as previously announced by Santiago Morales, significant developments unfolded this Friday at the Soriana entity. In chronological order, early in the afternoon, Eduardo Rubio announced his decision to "step aside" from the general management of the club through a letter. Reflecting on the season, Rubio acknowledged the challenges faced but emphasized that Numancia remains a solid team.

"I feel worn out and although I don't believe I am the problem, I don't want to be part of it. If stepping aside means contributing to Numancia's objectives, I do so with conviction," he stated.

New Leadership Takes Over the Presidency

Minutes after Rubio’s announcement, the club revealed a significant change in its leadership. Patricio de Pedro, a businessman and manager of DPM and Transportes De Pedro, was appointed as the twenty-seventh president of the Soriana institution. He will be joined by his associate, Javier Jiménez Omeñaca.

"The Board of Directors of Club Deportivo Numancia de Soria S.A., in a meeting held on Wednesday, June 12, accepted Santiago Morales Escobar’s decision to step aside from the presidency. Consequently, Patricio de Pedro Valverde, representing 'Footbal NewCo 18 S.L.', was appointed as the new president," the statement said, acknowledging that Santiago Morales will continue to provide support and experience along with the rest of the board.

Challenges and Future Prospects

Patricio de Pedro, realizing one of his personal dreams by becoming the president of Numancia, now faces an immense challenge and effort. Along with ensuring the continuity of several key players, the club must also secure a new coach and comprehensively build the squad for the upcoming season. The task ahead is daunting, yet filled with potential for transformation and success.
